5th Dan, Ryukyu Karate Jutsu

Master Mike Bernico has been practicing martial arts for over 30 years. He has a passion for teaching children and began as an assistant instructor under Grandmaster Golden in 1992. Mike leverages his Marine Corps leadership skills and his technical-college instruction experience to provide a structured class, aimed at helping individuals to grow. He continues to pass his martial arts knowledge along to his wife and children, who join him in sharing karate with others.


8th Dan Grandmaster, Ryukyu Karate Jutsu

Grandmaster Golden is the head our organization and the namesake of our school. He has been involved in martial arts for over 50 years. Over this lifetime of experience he has held black belt ranks in Jujitsu and various forms of Karate including Goju Ryu, Kempo-Do, and Ryukyu Kempo. He has also had the privilege to train under and alongside Professor Wally Jay in Small-Circle Jujitsu and Remy Presas in Modern Arnis. The superb training he has received has allowed Grandmaster Golden to teach many seminars. By combining the strengths of his learned arts, he has taught practical and effective self defense techniques to hundreds of martial artists.

Being an advocate for personal health, he spent several years studying Healing Tao from Master Mantak Chia from Thailand. Sensei ceased actively teaching in 1998 when he retired, but strives to continue living a healthy lifestyle as he studies the classical works of the early martial arts masters. He now serves as a certified nutritionist and offers seminars on nutrtion and martial arts for health. His lifesyle has brought him peace which he shares with any person he meets.

It is very important to establish a good, positive attitude in life;
